A former Military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, has debunked rumours claiming he is dead.
In a phone conversation with Vanguard, he confirmed that he is alive.
This follows speculation on social media on Monday night, that Gowon has passed away at 89.
However, the General refuted the claims, stating that he is alive and in good health.
