EPL: Seven clubs who voted against banning loan deals between related clubs revealed

Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle United were among the clubs that voted against banning loan deals between related clubs on Tuesday.

According to The Times, the seven clubs who voted against the ban are Newcastle, Chelsea, City, Sheffield United, Everton, Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

All Premier League clubs voted on banning loan transfers between clubs with shared owners and were split 13-7 in favour.

However, 14 votes are required to pass such a law.

This means that it will not be implemented ahead of the January transfer window.

As a result of this, Newcastle for instance will be free to sign players from Saudi Pro League clubs that their owners, the Public Investment Fund, have majority stakes in.
