AFCON 2023: Super Eagles win first friendly game 12-0
Nigeria ran out 12-0 winners over a Dubai local side in a friendly match played at their Abu Dhabi training base on Sunday.
The game was played behind closed doors, as Jose Peseiro’s men continued their preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The three-time African champions led 6-0 at half-time.
Ademola Lookman scored four goals, while Victor Osimhen netted twice.
Substitute Moses Simon was also on target twice alongside Umar Sadiq, with their opponent scoring two own goals.
The Super Eagles will take on Guinea in another test game at the Bani Yas Stadium on Monday.
