Transfer: Juventus confirm Pogba’s contract has been terminated

Paul Pogba’s contract with Juventus has been terminated.

This was confirmed by the Serie A giants in a statement on Friday.

Pogba was initially handed a four-year suspension after failing a doping test after a Serie A match against Udinese in August 2023. The ban was then reduced to just 18 months, meaning the Frenchman will be able to return to competitive action in March. However, Juventus have started a new project under Thiago Motta this season, and Pogba’s time at the Allianz Stadium is set to come to an end.

Juventus have now reached an agreement to terminate Pogba’s contract by mutual consent. The official announcement from Juventus was made on Friday evening.

A statement read: “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have mutually agreed to the termination of the sports performance contract, effective from 30 November 2024.

“The company wishes Paul all the best for his professional future.”
