Suspected Thieves Invade Nasarawa Govt Farm, Steal Bags Of Rice
Some individuals, suspected to be thieves have invaded the rice farm of Nasarawa State Government, located at Jangwa community, Awe Local Government Area of the state.
INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that unspecified quantity of bags of rice was stolen away from the farmland by the criminal elements.
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule made this known in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra on Thursday.

Abdullahi described the development as a setback for the state government’s efforts to boost food security and provide relief to residents.

The statement reads: “While the state government is pleased with the yield recorded, it is saddened by the level of theft during the harvest.
“This level of theft is disheartening, particularly at a time when we are doing everything possible to bring relief to our people and ensure food security in Nasarawa and beyond.
“We will not be deterred. Nasarawa State, being an agricultural hub, must have its government leading the charge in agricultural activities.”
