Police Kill Gang Member In Anambra, Recover Weapons, SUVs
A member of a criminal gang causing unrest in Anambra State has been killed by the police.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesman for the state police command, said in a statement on Saturday that the incident took place on the Agulu/Nnobi route.
The police also recovered a pump-action gun, five live cartridges, machetes, two SUVs, and desert shoe.

He said: “Police operatives from the operations department of the command, attached to a VIP in the state on 29/11/2024 by 8:30 pm along Agulu/Nnobi road, demobilized one of the criminal elements in the state and recovered one pump action gun, five live cartridges, five machetes, two SUV jeeps and two pairs of desert shoe.”
He stated that the hoodlums attacked the VIP’s convoy without provocation, prompting a retaliatory response.
