Osimhen allays fears over injury after scoring twice for Galatasaray
Victor Osimhen has claimed that the injury he sustained during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa on Saturday, is not a serious one.
The Super Eagles striker bagged a brace in the match.
But with the score at 3-1 at half time, Osimhen was replaced before the start of the second half due to injury.
Osimhen’s absence could be attributed to Galatasaray’s collapse as they conceded two late goals to draw 3-3.
But speaking after the game, the reigning CAF Player of the Year, allayed any fears of a serious injury.
“I do not have a serious injury,” he said on the club’s website.
“I felt a little discomfort. I thought I should tell my coach.
“If I reduced the team, it would be bad. I did not want my other friends’ performance to decrease. I told Mauro (Icardi) and the coach. That is why I left the game.”
