NFF Mourns As Nwabali Loses Mother Barely One Month After Father’s Death
The Nigeria Football Federation, has sympathised with Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, who lost his mother, six weeks after announcing the death of his father.
In a statement shared via its X page on Wednesday, NFF prayed for the 28 years old to have strength during the sad moment of his life.
It was gathered that Nwabali had earlier announced the death of his mother, describing 2025 as worst year of his life.

He said: “Rip mom, worst year of my life already.”

“A very very crazy world indeed.”
Also reaction to Nwabali mother’s death on Wednesday, NFF said: “Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother.
“Stay strong, Stanley. sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you.”
Recall that the 28 years old had announced the passing of his father in November, a few hours after the goalkeeper was in goal for the Super Eagles in their 1-1 draw against Benin Republic during their 2025 AFCON qualification match in 2024.
Nwabali was thereafter excused from the match.
