“Judiciary To Blame For Rivers Crisis”
The Rivers State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tony Okocha, has pointed fingers at the judiciary for the lingering political crisis in the State.
Okocha made this assertion on Monday during a press conference in Port Harcourt, where he also criticized former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Amaechi had earlier stated, “Politicians are in Nigeria to steal, maim, and kill, and to remain in power. If you think Tinubu will give it to you, you’re wasting your time.”

He responded by accusing Amaechi of inciting the public against the government and promoting anarchy.
Okocha further alleged that Amaechi failed to attract developmental projects to the South-South region during his tenure as minister.
According to him, “The judiciary is the problem behind the political crisis in Rivers State. Judges make pronouncements on PDP congresses even when a superior court ruled otherwise.”
This development comes amidst the ongoing crisis in the State, with Governor Siminalayi Fubara attributing the crisis to the inordinate ambitions of some forces seeking to control the state’s resources.
