Gov Abiodun Declares Friday Work-Free Day For Ogun Civil Servants 

Ahead of the November 16th local government election in Ogun State, Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has declared Friday, a work-free day for civil servants in the State.

INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that the holiday is aimed to ensure active participation in the electoral process, by allowing citizens to exercise their civic duties without hindrance.

This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday, by Kehinde Onasanya, head of the service.

He said: “The bureau of service matters, office of the head of service, has announced that the Ogun state government has approved Friday, November 15, 2024, as a work-free day for civil and public servants.

“This directive, approved by His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, is intended to give workers the opportunity to travel to their respective local government areas to participate in the local government election scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024.

“This initiative underscores the administration’s dedication to fostering inclusiveness and participatory democracy.”
