EPL: Man Utd decide not to sack Ten Hag as manager
Erik ten Hag will not be sacked as Manchester United manager.
According to The Athletic, this follows the club’s end-of-season review.
The former Ajax boss has agreed to remain at the Red Devils after the board decided to stick with him.
The report adds United will enter into discussions about extending the 54-year-old’s contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.
Discussions were held with Thomas Tuchel but the German has opted to take a break from football after departing Bayern Munich.
Mauricio Pochettino, who has been linked with the Old Trafford job on several occasions, is not thought to be under consideration after he left Chelsea.
Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Roberto De Zerbi, who recently left Brighton, are both linked with the role but there is no obvious first-choice candidate.
