Davido Accuses Osun Police Commissioner Of Bias Amid Local Govt Crisis
Nigerian afrobeats star Davido, born David Adeleke, has openly criticised the Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Abba, in connection with the ongoing political crisis in the state.
Osun, which is governed by Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is witnessing increased tensions between the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress.
The situation originates from dismissed local government chairmen elected under the APC attempting to retain their positions despite court judgements removing them from office.

Governor Adeleke held a press conference over the weekend, urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene and prevent his Minister, Gboyega Oyetola, from allegedly deploying security forces to reinstate the sacked chairmen.

He underlined that rather than using coercive takeovers, any complaints should be resolved through legal appeals.
On Monday, February 17, 2025, gunfire broke out at several local government secretariats as the dismissed chairmen and their supporters attempted to reclaim their offices, but faced strong opposition from PDP members.
Following the turmoil, Davido turned to his X (previously Twitter) account to accuse the Osun State police commissioner of failing to uphold the rule of law.
Davido slammed the commissioner in a series of sharply worded remarks written in a combination of English and Pidgin, warning him against biassed acts.
“Mr Commissioner, respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us!! Make we all kuru mad!! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post you every day everywhere, Mr man!!! Try me, fucker,” he wrote.
In another post, he added, “Mr Umar Abba, Osun State Commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children!!! Game on, FUCKER!!!! All of us go mad together!! Werey!!! Mr Commissioner, we die here.”
