Angry Residents Lynch Two Suspected Kidnappers In Kano


The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this during a press briefing at the Bompai police headquarters on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Two suspected kidnappers have been beaten to death by some angry residents at Danshoshiya village, in Kwanar Dangora area of Kano State during a failed abduct attempt.

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this during a press briefing at the Bompai police headquarters on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

According to the PPRO, the suspected kidnappers were arrested by police operatives and vigilante members while attempting to kidnap a 35-year-old man, Haruna Abubakar.

However,  aggrieved members of the public got hold of the suspects and beat them to death.

“On 09/11/2024 at about 6:00pm, a team of police operatives in collaboration of vigilante members of Danshoshiya Village, Kwanar Dangora arrested two suspected kidnappers; one Haruna Abdulsalam, ‘m’, and Mandi snu, ‘m’, while trying to kidnap one Haruna Abubakar, ‘m’, 35 years old of same Village,” the CP stated.

“The suspects were lynched by aggrieved members of the public and were rushed to the hospital were doctor confirmed them dead while receiving treatment.”
